My name is Angie Mena and I’m a freelance Illustrator currently based/working in the windy city of Chicago! You will notice across my work a range and mix of mediums and art styles. I approach each individual project with the belief that they deserve their own visual identity; I love to experiment with mediums if I believe it will fit the mood, message, or subject of each piece to determine the direction, and style I use. I strive to achieve authenticity in my work and I’m inspired by my own identity, or attempting to reflect the communities and people I wish to connect with. I developed a strong proficiency in Adobe programs and built a strong digital skill set during my time as a student at MIAD.
